RABBIT: Wanna have dinner tonight? SQUIRREL: TENTATIVELY... let's say yes.

September 23, 2026

A lizard and a rabbit sit reading in armchairs, mugs on a low table between them. LIZARD: I want to go out. Which is unusual and probably temporary. We should leave. NOW.

RABBIT: OH! OK... uh, I'll just get my hat and-

The rabbit springs up out of their chair as the lizard lunges forward. LIZARD: NO! WAIT!

The lizard is back in their chair with their book and a steaming mug. The rabbit stands beside their own chair, their book on the floor. LIZARD: Our window of opportunity has closed.

SQUIRREL: Look, I love you and all, but it genuinely DRAINS me when I'm around you. Being near you... hurts my SOUL.

SQUIRREL: I'm just much happier alone. Without YOU. So I just need you to be around... LESS. Like... a LOT less, OK? Like not at ALL.

SQUIRREL: So, in conclusion: LEAVE ME ALONE. ...Got it? RABBIT: Mm hmm.

RABBIT: (thinking) They... LOVE ME!

SETH: Are you traveling for the holidays? JOHNNY: NO. I never get caught up with all the LEMMINGS stuck in traffic.

SETH: So you're going somewhere local? JOHNNY: WHAT? And fight the IDIOTS doing their shopping? No no no, I'm staying put!

SETH: So are people coming by you? JOHNNY: HA! I don't have time to decorate and host and put on a SHOW for everyone!

SETH: So you'll be shut inside. Isolated. Joyless. And alone. JOHNNY: Yes... Just as God INTENDED.
